Challenges
The livingHR team engaged with a large utility provider for a custom career development and career pathing project. To accomplish this, livingHR conducted a discovery process that included focus group sessions with team members and leaders, one-on-one interviews, and in-depth discussions about employee experiences and available career opportunities.
Key challenges noted by the client included:
- A large population of long-tenured team members approaching retirement
- Employees expressed interest in career growth but lacked awareness of available opportunities within the organization
- Vertical career path opportunities were limited; cross departmental options needed to be identified and defined
